Animal Consciousness Conference 2023 Dharamsala India

World renowned scientists, psychologists, philosophers along with Buddhist scholars gathered in Dharamshala India to discuss a wide range of topics in animal consciousness. This conference covered issues from the global Buddhist demarcation of the world into the sentient and non-sentient, through a panorama of the phenomena of sentience and consciousness in different biological taxa, discussions of theories of consciousness and its neurobiological mechanisms, to moral and ethical issues and policies in the field of animal consciousness.

I had the honor of meeting the Dalai Lama and presenting him with my latest book and an UT Longhorn hat.
